    Delivered a scalable, HIPAA 5010-compliant eligibility solution for a healthcare SaaS provider, using a message-translator pattern to receive eligibility requests, enrich them from external systems, exchange X12 270/271 EDI transactions with the TransUnion trading partner, and return results to the originating eligibility service bus.

    • Meeting the HIPAA 5010 mandate while re-architecting an eligibility service that did not scale as an enterprise offering.

    • Handling synchronous and asynchronous requests with retry logic for TransUnion responses and archiving native 271 transactions.

    • Understanding this standard body technology at the lowest level was a challenge and an education.

BizTalk Server handled messaging, routing, and reliable asynchronous delivery of service tickets under the HP service-level agreement, with a SharePoint UI for call coordinators and a field force of 600+ technicians.

    • Resolving cross-time-zone ticket scenarios and control-character encoding issues in the exchanged messages.
    • Eliminating data-sync problems and the overhead of managing client installs across 600+ technicians.

    Developed and deployed an enterprise-level data integration pipeline to bridge a legacy medical staffing system with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) financial software. Built utilizing a hybrid architecture of Clipper, Visual Basic 6.0, and Windows Services, the solution automated the secure extraction, transformation, and ingestion of high-volume payroll, billing, and operational healthcare data into a centralized SQL Server database. This implementation eliminated streamlined financial reconciliation, and modernized reporting capabilities for our corporate operations.
